Purpose: Taking placenta medicinally helps to rebuild a woman’s strength by revitalizing the blood and the warmth of the body, as well as balance hormones and emotions. Many women get very cold directly after they deliver, some shiver with goose bumps, this is because so much of the bodies heat (yang energy) is lost during delivery. Placenta capsules are the best way to replenish yang, chi, and blood. It is also a great immune booster for both mom and baby. I recommend saving a few in room temp glass jar to use throughout the first few years of your newborns life.

Infants can take ¼- ½ capsule in a bottle with milk or formula. 1-2 year olds can take 1 capsule/day at early onset of sickness, mix into soft food or bottle.How it Works: It is best to do this process right away the day after delivery, however, this is not always possible, in which case freezing is ok, until the placenta can be processed. It must be thawed completely before cooking, so if frozen, please take it out the day before in its container and leave it on counter to thaw.

I will come to your house in the earlier part of the day and begin the process. The placenta is rinsed, steamed with a few other ingredients, sliced into thin strips and placed on a baking sheet to dehydrate in the oven for 4-7 hrs. It looks like burned jerky as it comes out. I will then come and pick it up at the end of the day, powder and encapsulate, returning it the next day for you to begin taking.

In general I recommend taking 2 caps 2 times per day, but this could vary depending on your constitution (tongue and pulse). You will feel more stable in your body and mind. If you get too hot or over-energized drop the dose to 1 1x/day.
